Publicly listed property firm Alphaland Corp. announced that two giant business process outsourcing (BPO) companies are moving into its Southgate Tower project in Makati City.
Alphaland president Mario Oreta said that Rainmaker Asia Inc. and Teleperformance have chosen its first office building as their new business hubs. “We are delighted to have been chosen by two well-established BPOs as the site for their expansion of operations in the country,” Oreta said.
Both Rainmaker Asia Inc. vice president for Asia Pacific operations Andrew Sarakinis and Teleperformance managing director Dave Rizzo cited the strategic location of Alphaland’s Southgate Tower.
“The location and accessibility were perfect for our needs,” Sarakinis said while Rizzo added “It was the ideal setting for our regional office primarily due to the location and direct access to the Metro Rail Transit.”
Alphaland Southgate Tower, a Philippine Economic Zone Authority recognized IT Zone, is a 20-storey structure at the corner of EDSA and Don Chino Roces Avenue. It is complemented with a three-storey mall with direct access to the MRT and other means of public transportation.
Oreta said the decision by Rainmaker Asia and Teleperformance showed their Southgate Tower project to be at par with other buildings in the central business districts of Makati City, Ortigas, and Taguig City.
Rainmaker is an offshore call center that serves financial, logistics, software, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications firms in the United States and the Philippines.
Teleperformance, with presence in 51 countries, has six contact centers in Metro Manila and Bacolod City that services the telecommunication and internet service provider, financial, insurance, travel, and information technology industries.
Alphaland is currently constructing a 10,000 square meter three-tower residential-hotel project at the far end of Ayala Avenue that is expected to be completed by 2011.
