MANILA, Philippines — Tycoon Roberto Ongpin, the man behind some of the well-known luxury playgrounds in the country, has raised the bar once more with his latest baby, The Alpha Suites.
Situated at the heart of Makati’s vibrant central business district, The Alpha Suites is the city’s newest five-star serviced residences.
During its launch late last year, The Alpha Suites president Alain Borgers said the project is perfect for discerning business and leisure travellers who want to stay right in the heart of Makati but away from the maddening crowd. It can also be for weekend guests who just want to enjoy a staycation.
“It’s the only one in the city with access to so many amenities,” he said. It is located at the Alphaland Makati Place along Ayala Avenue extension.
A trademark of Alphaland projects, high-end interior and upscale amenities await clients of The Alpha Suites. The smell of luxury wafts in the air and the upscale vibe is almost tangible. Indeed, every state of the suites was designed with the highest-quality bespoke furnishings and features.
In varied sizes, The Alpha Suites come complete with a full-sized kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, a comfortable living area, a spacious bedroom, and Philippe Starck-designed Duravit bathroom fixtures.
Assistant general manager Jon Joven Uy said each suite is generously sized, ranging from 63-square meter one-bedroom suites to a 262-sqm three-bedroom Presidential Suite.
Furthermore, he said the suites are designed to provide living spaces where one can relax, work and play in the same comfort one would enjoy at home or even better.
Borgers said that aside from the luxuriously designed suites, guests will also have access to a comprehensive range of luxury facilities including an expansive 80-meter lagoon-style outdoor swimming pool and 500-sqm gym, as well as access to nine world-class restaurants.
The restaurants are the same acclaimed restaurants in The Alpha Suites’ sister company, the members-only Balesin Island Club.
There are also sports and recreational facilities such as indoor tennis, basketball, badminton and squash courts, boxing and martial arts arena, billiards, high-definition virtual golf simulator, private screening room and Wii game room.
There is also the Aegle Wellness Center, a state-of-the-art integrative health and wellness center, and there’s Top of the Alpha by Louie Y, Manila’s new jazz bar and lounge.
Indeed, a host of activities await guests at The Alpha Suites.
Business travellers who have to catch up on meetings, on the other hand, can hold meetings and corporate events at the different meeting rooms.
There is a 76-seater auditorium, a banquet hall, Tabacalera Cigar Divan, or in the private dining rooms.
All the amenities ensure utmost privacy as they are exclusive to The Alpha Suites guests and The City Club members.
Those who need to buy some groceries or their daily needs can also shop at The Shops at Alphaland Makati Place Mall, which is just an elevator ride away.
As an added service, long-stay guests can also avail of the convenient pre-arrival refrigerator stocking service for essentials such as milk and eggs.
Overseas travellers can also rent a pocket WiFi to stay connected when they step out.
In all, The Alpha Suites exceeds the typical hotel experience with its array of amenities.
Indeed, Ongpin’s latest project does not disappoint. It was developed in the tradition of Alphaland Corp., which is very selective in the property development projects it undertakes, focusing only on high-end and top-of-the-line properties.
Alphaland’s projects include Balesin Island Club, a private island paradise for members; Alphaland Makati Place, a premier residential and lifestyle complex; Aegle Wellness Center; Alphaland Corporate Tower and Top of the Alpha by Louie Y., as well as Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges and Alphaland Southgate Tower & Mall.
